The Bayside Middle School Library

The Bayside Middle School Library is a quiet place that fosters reading and learning. It hosts a large collection of over 20,000 books, magazines, and newspapers. For the curious student, it is a treasure trove of fiction and nonfiction as well as a quiet place to study.

Students can check out as many as two books for two-week intervals or a magazine for one night. Fines are not charged for overdue books, but students are expected to pay for a book that cannot be returned.

Students can use the 18 stationary computers that have search programs for not only the Bayside collection but also Internet access.

The school subscribes to several Internet research tools and databases including World Book, SIRS, Proquest, Gale Group, and Grolier Online Encyclopedia. With these resources, students can become life-long learners.
