Important Announcements

Tdap Booster Vaccine

During the 2009/2010 school year, a Tdap booster vaccine is required for ALL students entering the 6th, 7th or 8th grade in any Virginia school. Documentation is needed before a class schedule can be issued. Please bring documentation of receiving the Tdap booster to your school nurse so it can be put in your student’s school record. Documentation of this vaccine may appear as DPT, T, Td, Dtap, and /or Tdap. If your child has received a Tetanus booster in the last five years (after September 2004) this booster is not required.  The School Nurse must have documentation before a class schedule can be issued. There is No grace period or extension. (nkh5/09)

In order to represent your school in any interscholastic contest you must not have been enrolled in the last three years of middle school for a period of more than six consecutive semesters, beginning with the semester in which he/she was enrolled for the first time in the sixth grade. Please read the first page of the physical form for more individual eligibility rules or contact Mr. Murray in the Student Activities office.
