From One Hand To AnOTHER
The Bayside Middle students who participated in the From One Hand To AnOTHER (FOHTA) summer program were recently surprised with a holiday gift! The gifts were donated to the program through Shaggy's Z104 "Stuff the Bus" event and each participating student was invited to pick their favorite present. FOHTA was founded by internationally known musical artist, producer, and Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams in 2008 because he believed that every child could be a success if only they had the right tools. FOHTA's Summer of Innovation camps are offered at seven locations around the Tidewater area.

Great job, everyone! Thanks to all the Box Tops you turned in, our school received a check from Box Tops For Education™ for $646. Our goal for the year is $1,000. Keep the Box Tops coming in! The money is used for student recognition throughout the year. The next incentive drawing will be held Feb. 12. For every 10 boxtops brought in, students receive one chance in the drawing. We’ll submit them again in late February and receive a second check in April. If you have any questions about Box Tops, please contact Mrs. Whitley at email@example.com.
