Bayside Middle Skate Night at Haygood Skating Rink

Bayside Middle Skate Night at Haygood Skating Rink will be on this Tuesday, November 25th, 6:00-8:30PM. There will be all you can eat pizza from 6:30-8:00PM. Skaters' cost is $7, and non-skaters' cost is $3.50. Hope to see you at Bayside Middle Family Skate Night.

Bayside Leaders of the Future

Bayside Leaders of the Future Invites you
to The Heroes Inside Us Leadership Workshop
on Tuesday, December 2nd, 3:50-8:00PM.

We will be accepting the first 100 applicants. Applications are available in the Main Office at both the 6th and the 7th/8th Grade campuses.

Snacks and Dinner will be served, as well as a Leadership T-shirt for each student leader. This is an opportunity for learning leadership skills, cheers, team building activities, and to interact with High School SCA leaders, all at No Cost.

It is free, just bring your positive attitude, good behavior, smiles, energy and be ready to learn and participate.

Building Leaders for Advancing Science and Technology (BLAST)

BLAST will offer a dynamic three-day residential summer experience on the campus of Virginia Tech (VT) and the University of Virginia (UVA) in the summer of 2015. Through innovative hands-on experiences taught by faculty members and staff, students will explore the fun and excitement of STEM while residing on a college campus.

BLAST is offered free of charge to students, however, transportation to and from Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia is the responsibility of each family.

Current 8th and 9th grade students from Virginia will have an opportunity to choose from a session at Virginia Tech, July 12-15 or one of two sessions at the University of Virginia, July 26-29 or August 2-5 . Students who have previously participated in BLAST are not eligible to apply.

6th Grade Campus

7th & 8th Grade Campus


ALL students entering the 6th, 7th or 8th grade in a Virginia school must have a current Tdap vaccine in addition to the other required immunizations.

If a Tdap or TD vaccine has been received in the last five years (since September 2008) a new booster is not required.

Documentation of this vaccine may appear as DPT, T, Td, Dtap, and /or Tdap.

You must bring documentation that your child received a Tdap vaccine to the school guidance department when registering your student.
